Launched by the UK BioIndustry Association, MedCity and London & Partners, London Life Sciences Week is a
premier gathering of global investors and leaders from pharma and UK biotech companies, offering a dynamic
week of networking and dealmaking.
Why London?
London leads Europe in life sciences. Its world-class academic research and clinical excellence, talent and investment help turn ideas into products and services.
Looking ahead, London is ramping up its frontier innovation capabilities. By 2032, the city is expected to add:
- 6.2 million sq ft of new life science and technology lab and office space.
- 80,000 life sciences jobs.
- Significant new global investment in biotech, medtech and health innovation, following $2.1bn venture capital funding deployed in 2025 – more than Paris, Stockholm and Berlin combined.
- Actions outlined in the London Growth Plan, and the NHS 10-year Health Plan, including supporting businesses to scale internationally and catalysing new innovation models, supporting growth across digital health, medtech and advanced therapies.
Why London Life Sciences Week?
London Life Sciences Week harnesses the city’s strengths by bringing together founders, researchers, academics, clinicians, policymakers, industry leaders and investors from around the world for five days across more than 70 events.
During the week, the spotlight is on London’s research, clinical and commercial ecosystem, reinforcing the UK capital’s position as a place to scale life sciences innovation.
It is a focal point for conversations, partnerships, deals and investment to drive the sector forward.
