The Scottish Medical Imaging (SMI) service provides linkable, population based, “research-ready” real-world medical images for researchers develop and validate new preventative, therapeutic, diagnostic and digital/AI solutions to health challenges faced in Scotland, the UK and beyond.
Research Data Scotland together with the eDRIS team in Public Health Scotland are working to develop and update this resource over the next 18 months, and are holding this showcase to:
- Highlight the unique value of the Scottish Medical Imaging (SMI) service as a resource both in the UK and beyond
- Share information on its development and value add to date across research areas to encourage its future use and development
- Support the sustainability of SMI.
